The second national student week of action on climate change is happening on 9-13 February 2009. Get the date in your diaries as if last year is anything to go by, it’s going to be massive.
If you’re a member of a People & Planet group, now is the time to start thinking about what sort of actions, events and fundraisers you want to put on during the week. We will putting together a guide to what you could be do during December, but if you have any ideas or questions then get in contact with James at the support office.
People & Planet’s last national Go Green Week took place during February 2008 and was phenomenally successful. Students all over the country took part in exciting and creative actions including a giant waste sculpture, environmental question times with politicians, school assemblies, campus-wide marches expert speaker events, big green bike rides, green parties, human banners, carbon audits and, of course, plenty of green people.
